Participants in this one night class discuss Mother-Baby Nursing and Family-Centered Care; hearing screening, car seat safety, feeding options, and choosing a pediatrician.

The classes are open to the public.
This series of classes taken during the 6th or 7th month are designed to educate parents about the physical and emotional aspects of the birthing process, including the role of the labor coach.

The “What You Need to Know: Preparation for Breastfeeding” class will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 pm in the Family Birthing Center Conference Room.

This class is designed to help get breastfeeding off to a great start by dispelling myths, teaching evidence-based current information and some practical tips for the family. A doll would be helpful to bring to class.

“Stretch to Success Exercise Program” for breast cancer survivors, held at St. Joseph Cancer Center.

This free monthly group exercise class, taught by an exercise physiologist, incorporates gentle and effective stretching techniques geared to help promote flexibility and wellness in the breast cancer survivor.

You did not have to have been a patient at St. Joe’s to participate in this class.

Kids Konnected, a support group for children with a parent who is being treated for cancer, meets the fourth Monday of each month in the Bern Township facility.
